In today's society, peer pressure forces many teens into having sexual relations. Many ask themselves "why not," while others ask themselves questions such as:
The Tasks
Each student will be assigned to a STI. You will be creating a webpage on your STI. You will then need to accomplish the following tasks:
Task 1:
Research: You will complete some general background research into the STI, and answer a series of pre-research questions. These must be submitted before continuing onto the next part of your task. You will need to submit your research on SCHOOLOGY.
Review the following websites to gain basic background knowledge on the STD selected by your team. After doing this, Answer the questions listed below on the google document shared to you called STI Research Questions.
Please make sure you are siting your information.

Site 1 – TeenHealth
Site 2 – Planned Parenthood
Site 3 – Center for disease Control
The Research Questions:
1. What is the name of the STD?
2. What are some street names for this STD?
3. What type of infection is it (bacterial, viral or caused by an insect)?
4. How is it spread?
5. What are the signs and symptoms of the STD? (asymptomatic or symptomatic)
6. Can it be cured? If yes, how long does it usually take
7. Can it be treated? If yes, what are the treatment options?
8. Which age group get it the most? (Statistics in WI who contracts the infection more?)
9. Where can someone go to get tested? Think around Dane County and in an area near Marshall.
Task 2
Web Quest Questions: Directions: Create 3 Questions that you would like your classmates to understand and remember about your STI. Click on the STI: Web Quest Questions sheet to complete the assignment.. Make a copy of the Document and then RENAME IT with your STI.
Example: STI: HIV Web Quest Questions.
Once you have completed your Questions, Copy and Dropbox them into Schoology under the assignment listed “STI Web Quest Questions.”
Task 3
Weebly Website
Once you have completed the first two tasks and your teacher has approved your work. You will be then given access to the weebly site that we have created.
You are now ready to create the web page. You will NOT NEED to add a photo for the page it will be provided to you.
